Ok, this morning i started my computer like normal (i just pressed the power button and nothing else) and came back an hour later to log in. The monitor was black and the computer was on. This is where im stuck... Ive tried shaking the mouse, pressing ctr+alt+delete, pressing the windows button, restarting the computer, starting the computer with the TV as screen. And yet nothing seems to help. I dont know much about computers but i do know its a HP laptop running windows vista home premium.

Would be really nice if someone could help me fix it, or atleast understand what the problem is.
(Im on my wii If you wondered how i wrote this with my computer busted)

Nothing happens, neither before or after i press the power button. Its just like the computer is on but the monitor is off, even though it should be on.

Ive also tried various buttons like mute sound, caps lock and i tried to swipe my finger to log in (its built in the pc if it helps anything) but nothing happens, the only button that actually does anything is the power button.

The screen is stuck to the computer seeing its a laptop, but maybe some wires are loose or something? I dont know.

Extra note:
The computer makes almost no sound at all. (compared to how it usually sounds when i start it) So maybe the BIOS or whatever its called isnt starting as it should?

Oh, yes, it's a laptop.

Maybe I know, but I'm not sure I can explain. Try to push on the laptop around the keybord, see ? Maybe there is a bad conncetion between the screen and the rest of the laptop, so try to press around the keybord to reconnect it.

Do you have another comptuer home ? Or maybe just another screen.

EDIT : Maybe it's the BIOS, but if it is you should see the black screen be lighten up, and turn grey.

Well i dont think pressing the computer will fix it but i'll try it out.
Yes i do have another computer at home (two really) and no i dont have any other monitors exept for the TV wich can be used and i have already tried it.
But the really weird thing is that the computer worked perfectly yesterday.

Did you plug it in ? Maybe it's the power battery.

When you say plug "it" in i assume you mean the computer, yes i have tried it with and without power input, the computer dont seem to react in a different way in either way.

I can't do anything, I'm sorry. You'll have to send to send it back where you bought it and explain them exactly what's your problem.

EDIT:
My computer is now working for unknown reasons, it turned out to be in hibernate. Even though i turned the computer on and off hundreds of times it loaded quickly without login nad everything is like it was when i turned it off.
