monitor takes time to displayClosed

Question

Hello,
im arun i hav start up problem wit my system...........
i switch on my system the start up sound comes but the display of the screen takes hell lot of time some times half an hour some times 15 min.............this problem is also faced even i start the system,previsiouly hibernated one..........
im really facing a lot of p[roblem wit this,,,,,,,,,is this any sort of virus or any driver is missin..............
do i need to format my sys??plz help me out.................i hav exams im in real need of the sys.............

Hello arun, 
is it possible that you are currently using a CRT screen? when you switch the screen off and back on after a while, does it has the same symptoms?, CRT screen need some warm-up time when they get old :S

I also have the same problem, with my Samsung Syncmaster 540n LCD Monitor takes a while to "warm up" after starting it. did you have any idea what will be the bad component/s in my monitor can it fix?
