Sound driver problem

Hello,
i have compaq presaio v2000 and os win xp sp2, afterformate,sound and media controller driver is not install and there is no sound and audio. i trying last 2 month. and i am new one in internet and web searching. if any mistake plz pardon me and help me. send me said drivers and also guid me.

I think that you should at least have a driver cd from the manufacturer, have you tried to find the missing drivers on it?

thanks for rly.
but still not instolled and not working my sound. it is proceed to instollation but after when processe is complet then after massage is come"INSTALLATION FAILED" . NAW WHAT CAN I DO?

thank for my sound is enabled but distrorted but new problem is arised thet "MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER, VIDEO CONTROLLER,VIDEO CONTROLLER(compitible) is lost and not working. plz help me again.
