The McAfee anti virus on my pc detected virus on the pen drive, when I open the pen drive, I cannot see anything on it, the pen drive is empty. when I check the properties I can see that the used space has some files in it. how can i get the content back on the pen drive and use it any pc to save me from problem.

Thanks,

hi there,

you need to delete the registry hacks:

Open the Command Prompt - Start-RUN-cmd

Finish the Explorer Task: taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

Check the following archives in C: a1.bat and autorun.inf Dir /ah

Change attributes -- atrrib -h -r -s a1.bat and atrrib -h -r -s autorun.inf

Delete this files -- del a1.bat del autorun.inf

Thanks

Oooooorrrr maybe since the virus is on his/her blank usb (pen drive to anyone who isn't Australian) instead of having an armature editing the god damned registry, maybe..... stop me if I'm wrong..... but maybe do u think that this person has hidden files that are unread/writable and the simple explanation would be to format it.... since it is empty anyway.

Right click

Format
