Battery setting or hardware problem

Hello,
whenever i plug my AC adapter to my laptop ( hp pavilion dv6000) it does not indicate on d battery that it is charging or plugged, i only see d battery level increasing. i tried recovery but it kept saying plug in ac to continue which i have done bt it does not indicate that it is plugged. is it a hardware problem or battery setting?

Dear Sir,

This is may be a problem with the charger!!

Verify if the charger cord is not damaged or something!!

Or just try using another battery and plug in the charger to see if the it's a battery problem

The battery indicator is a function of the HP software. You may have disabled this program or stopped the "service". I would download the latest hardware drivers from HP and load them.
