Dear Sir,
This is may be a problem with the charger!!
Verify if the charger cord is not damaged or something!!
Or just try using another battery and plug in the charger to see if the it's a battery problem

The battery indicator is a function of the HP software. You may have disabled this program or stopped the "service". I would download the latest hardware drivers from HP and load them.
