Hello,
I have had this problem since I received my laptop and Dell contends its' a virus affecting the drive and want over $100 to fix it.
When I load a application installation disc or a movie dvd the drive begins to read the disc and then stops. When I go to my computer and try to explore the disc it asks me if I want to format a blank disc. I cannot view the files on a app insall disc. I have checked the settings under "Autoplay" and the computer is set to auto start DVD's and Software discs
I have replace the DVD drive and reinstalled the DVD driver but still have the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks

There is the problem of autorun And Trojan in your system; Please go for a antivirus software that would be better
