Lapt top dark screen

Hello,
I used the F7 04 F8 function to dim my computer screen while outside....now i can't get back to normal...the screen is almost completely black....i have tried hitting the function buttons and turning the lap top off...nothing. HP laptop.

What do you mean to dim your laptop ? can you be more precise ?

To dim the brightness of the screen. It was hard to see outdoors so I used the function that does that...now it is almost completely dard.
