Double check that you have correctly inserted the memory.
If you have two memory boards try to boot the PC while using only one board.
You have not given the identity of the motherboard so I can't give more specific help.
Good Luck

try replacing them and check 1 ram at a time
Ok. I will try swapping around the RAM and trying each one individually.
I tried to find the code on my motherboard, its produced by Foxconn, but I found two bar codes with the following numbers: UYIP601 19965 PC P4M 800 MO1 6LRS2 AND 02-01000436-903
Hope This Helps

No worries. Re-installed one, all working fine. Dont know whether or not should try both. I dont want to overload the computer, if thats possible.
Thanks for all the help

It looks like your motherboard uses the P4M 800 chipset from VIA. I have a ECS motherboard which uses this chipset and the only way I could get 2 GB to work was to buy two memory modules from the Qualified Vendor List that I found in the motherboard manual. I my case it was Kingston HYB18T51260AF-E memory.
The only other 1GB memory listed was Apacer ELPIDA E5108AB-5C-E.
I had the same problem when I used other memory. It would only work with one 1GB module installed.
