Hello,
I am having an issue with my system. My system is a HP pavilion 6500 notebook. Recently, it suddenly stopped bringing out sounds except the awful system beeps. On the speaker icon located in the Windows Taskbar, there is an X-sign attached and hovering my mouse cursor over it, it shows, "No Audio Output Device is installed". Occasionally, the sounds comes on but most of the time it stays off.
I do not know how to handle the situation. Please, what do I do?

hi there,

download the driver for the machine

from official hp website:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/

or press start+r

type msconfig

on general tab select normal start up

apply save and restart pc
