Hello,

I have dropped my father's mobile in the swimming pool last night.

He hasn't yet noticed anything. What should I do to have the phone working properly?

Please help, it's urgent!

hi there,

use a hair dryer

and evaporate the water from it

or send it to a qualified mobile phone technician

for repair don't loose time or it will be too late for repair

Thanks

try putting it into a container of uncooked rice to absorb the moisture..

Im sorry to say but in most cases the handset will eventualy die or not work at all. If it does start to develope problems after first initial use and the handset is inspected you will still be found out! In majority of handsets there is now a moisture or water detector that will change colour when exposed to damp.

Usually when a phone dropped in water, we first of all should do the two things: 1.Unplug the battery directlly, not power off. 2. Just as closeup22 say, use a hair dryer. Hope these can help somebody .

yes a hair drier will help dry the phone but at the same time it is going to evaporate the water inside into steam and help the moisture get into and under every nook and cranny, the rice will draw the moisture out of the phone rather then just allowing it to spread around in the phone and possibly damage other electronic components inside the hand set, I've used the rice method on several phones Razor, shine, vue, and a couple other older models. One thing to be carefull with is heating the phone up too much because it will damage the LCD screen and allow moisture to get inbetween the lens and LCD.

Do NOT use a hairdryer, or only use it with a COLD wind, otherwist it may melt.

Take the thing apart as fast as you can. And let it dry.

But the phone will still be broken up probably. It might work after drying but as soon as technology has come in contact with water it starts to have issues. Your phone will begin to have problems in a few weeks and eventually you will have to buy a new one.

Next time, keep your hands of you dads phone.
