System restore

Hello,
I have Windows XP with Vista. For some reason I have to keep doing a system restore on my computer. When I do this my computer is back to working but it keeps happening. Now I can't even do that. There is no date stored back to when it was working fine.
Please help!

what you mean by "xp with vista"

this is not possible

please provide more information
