this happens to me every time my toddler touches the keyboard. Normally rebooting the computer fixes it, but I would love to know how to fix it with out rebooting.

just figured it out you press shift and control at the same time. ??? look I have a question mark. instead of É. Yay.

The shortcut is different under XP, VISTA & 7 but its either ctrl and shift or left shift and left alt. I hit it all the time in games so I found keyboard settings and disabled the shortcut and the other layouts. I hope this post helps alot of people.

I suggest turning off the sticky keys and filter keys shortcuts aswell because for %85 of users they just get in the way.
