Hello,
Alright so I've got a HP Pavilion dv2000, about two years old. Whenever the cord comes out, it shuts down INSTANTLY. It doesn't say 'Shutting down' etc etc it just goes completely black. Before this started happening, there weren't really signs that the battery was dying. Is the battery dead and need to get a new one, or is some setting or something wrong? It happens whether the battery level is full or not.

HELP!!

hi there,

your battery is a dead

let the adapter plugged in

shutdown the laptop

remove the battery and est it with a multimeter

if dead then you will have to purchase a new one

Thanks
