Facebook problem

I am having some problems while I log into my facebook account. I can log in and have access to my account now but I am unable to check my messages. Am i missing something?

Dear Seb,

Facebook is presently having some maintenance issues. This is perhaps the reason why you are having such problems. Please contact the Facebook Support Team in order for them to fix it up.
