Laptop wont boot, how do I recover files?

You might recover your files if you buy a 2.5 inch external drive enclosure.You remove the disk drive from your broken laptop put it into the enclosure and connect it to a second PC via a USB cable. This assumes the fault with the laptop is in the PC and not the hard drive.
