Dvd drives and dvd+r discs

Hello,
why does my dvd drive not recognixe dvd+r discs and is there anything besides buying a new drive that i can do?

Dear Sir,

The most logical reason why you are having this problem is a defective drive or low performance lens. Please

try upgrading the firmware and see whether the dvd r cds are read. Well, if it doesn't solve the problem, you

will then have to change the drive itself. Thanks in advance.
