Problem in modem installation

I have bsnl dial up connection at my home. recently i had install the modem in my desktop. but on connecting the internet there is an instruction "your surver has not been found, or your modem has not been instolled properly.

Dear Sir,

I would therefore be recommending you to uninstall the modem and to reinstall it properly.

And still if the problem persists, contact the BSNL Customer Service in order for them to fix

the problem.
