HP pavilion DV1743tu Battery not working well

Hello,

My HP pavilion DV1743tu when I bought gave 2.5 hours of backup, but now it does not last longer than 30 minutes. In company manual also its battery backup capacity is 2.5 hours.

Any suggestions to improve my battery life!
