My laptop won't turn on! The battery charging light indicates that it is charging but I cannot get it to power on! Could it be that my battery itself died? But wouldn't my laptop still be able to charge if it's connected to the charger even without the battery? Any help would be much appreciated! (:

Thank you
I suggest you try the hard boot process:
1. remove the battery and disconnect the charger
2. push and hold down the power button for 30 seconds
3. replace the battery and power cord
4. start the laptop normally

This sometimes starts laptops that are stuck in limbo.

Good Luck
As a misfortune this did not help. I unplugged the charger, disconnected the battery. After reconnecting it I held down the start button and still nothing
yep worked for me cheers and thank you soooooo much
it also worked for my hp pavillion 17 f151ng
Worked for me Thanks!!
Thank you
Is there anything software-based that I can do not stop this problem long-term? For the past week my HP Pavilion is very temperamental. Sometimes it won't turn on without the hard reboot, sometimes it's fine.
