Recycle Bin Problem

Hi all friends!

I actually have a friend who has lost his recycle bin and was asking me where to get it back. I tried looking for the recycle bin on the system but it wasn't there. I then thought that it was a virus which did this but while scanning the pc i didn't find any virus, is it possible that there is a malware on the system which is not recognised by the anti virus aplication?
