No, that card won't run the newest games on the highest settings. I have a GeForce GTS 210. It's good for the price, but if you want extreme performance, you shoul at least get a GeForce 9800/9800GT/9800GTS/9800GTX. I bought my card at Bestbuy. I usually never buy anything but the bare basics from stores that arent online only, mainly newegg.com. However, i wanted the card that day and the price difference was really small. They have a 9800GTX that is actually a good deal. I would have bought it but I was a couple bux short, and my weak Dell power supply would not have allowed it to work. FYI my 220 Watt PSU runs a Galaxy GTS210. The 9800GTX is definitely the best bang for the buck. I think it supports DX10. Really, though, don't even pay any mind to DirectX version unless you like playing Microsoft FlightSimX. I upgraded to Vista thinking all my game would look awesome. It turns out they now have DirectX11, which I have. There are about 10 games total that are supported beyond direct x 9.0c. One of them is resident evil 5, which i downloaded and played. There is absolutely no difference between dx10 or dx9 even in that game. I tried them both personally. That game does have beautiful graphics though. All in all, I would get the 9800GTX. Unless you have lots of money, then get the GTX285.
