System Restore

Hello, and thanks in advance for all who can help me. I opened an e-mail that did not look suspicious and, of course, it created all kinds of problems: FakeAlert-XP SecCenter. I tried to go back a day on the System Restore calender, but it will not move at all; just stays at the bolded date which is today, 8-22-08 and will not go back or forth. Why can't I move the date back? Need help! I use windows XP.

hello,

why dont you want to format your pc and make a clean installation of windows? according to me its the best solution though you can try to repair windows but this wont delete the virus...
