Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion dv6910us laptop. Thus I created a recovery CD (turned out to be 16 cd's since I used 700mb cd roms). Anyway something went wrong and some of the files are missing on my Computer which results in me getting the blue screen of windows and I have misplaced some of the recovery cd's.
Does anybody have a location to download the recovery CD's.
The computer is standard dv6910 us config (windows vista)
I know HP charge around 25usd for it but would rather download as Im a poor student.
Thanks

hi there,
you will have to purchase it from hp itself
there are no other website giving this for free as
it contains activation of windows for the system only
you can try using an external cd drive and make your system recovery from the same cd as
sometimes the cd drive cannot read all the cd's or during boot process there is a message displayed 'press F11
key for emergency recovery'
but for this to work your recovery partition must be still there with nothing modified in it
Thanks

Are you still able to boot in your system?if so then you can get to recovery manager and create the recovery disk ,what is your laptop model?there may be shortcut for it even not able to log windows as mentioned by dancedhall but it depends on some models.
Thanks
