Firefox won't allow hotmail

Hello,
Until recently everything worked ok. Hotmail will open with Internet Exp, but not with Firefox. I get the message 'Java script needed for windows live', yet it is enabled.Have checked this. I've disinstalled and re-installed firefox, but get the same error message. Any help much appreciated.
