Problem while connecting lan to my laptop

Hello,
please help me out...
my lan connection s working when i connect it to my desktop having windows xp. but it s not possible when providing lan connection to my laptop.. i dont know why... wanna change any settings???

hi there,

are your drivers installed on laptop?

please check it in device manager

then revert back

Think you can test to use ping to troubleshoot this network problem, hope able to help you.

thanks for ur reply...
i got a new problem.. lan connection is valid only for 5 min.. after then its showing "cannot find server" eventhough my lan connection is plugged in..
