hi there,
it isnt the os which is doing that but rather your dvd rom which cannot read much faster so i would advice you just to check if evrything is working fine with it and if you arent sure how to change one then have an it professional check it because if you remove the dvd rom wrongly then this could damage the port of the dvd rom
