Blank blue screen

Hello,
I have vista, windows error recovery screen comes up when laptop is powered up, blank blue screen is the result. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

hi there,

boot in safe mode and remove most recent software installed

or other new hardware attached to it recent;ly

then boot normally
