Forgot alot of things

Hello,
I forgot my password but i already clicked on the rest password button i aleady filled out wat i was told to do but the password was sent to my alternate email and i have no clue wat it is so i was wonderng if i could answer my security question instead and i will reset my password that way.. can i??
