Windows doesnt want to be activated

Hello,

my sister put avast antivirus on my pc last time and afterwards updated it and finally a clean scan of my machine(as it was really infected). of course you guessed that it cleans all the infections but then after the reboot my windows would ask me to activate windows i did it without asking me questions but then it would tell me that i dont have a valid license key and that i have to buy another one..

how can that be?

and now what im i onna do?

do i really need to buy a valid license key?

the virus and the activation of windows are not related in any way.. you must have a valid license key in order to do that and you can find one underneath your pc on a sticker marked with windows xp on it. but if you dont have one then you must buy one there is no other choice except of buying one
