Need help with sd memory card

Hello,
my name is Anawa i have a 1gb sd micro memory phone card the card works in my phone but when i put it on my samsung cp thing it wont show up ( detect ) and every time i click on my computer thing is has nothing n when i click on removable disk it keeps saying please insert a removable disk im actually wondering if the slot is broken but im not sure please help
