Cant detecet the usb de vices

Hello,
My hp laptop pavilion dv6000 running on windows vista can detect the usb flash disk but it can detect the mouse on one only one port.What should i do to make it be able to read detect the usb devices?It is a 32 bit
The following areb the detailos tof the laptop :


HP Pavilion dv 6700 Notebook PC
Product numbenr kc30cf
Processor type ADM Athlon (tm) 64*2

does the led on the pen drive light up?

have you tried it on other system?

please give more information
