Sata h/drive with ide dvd drive, cant boot

Hello,
Im using a [ sata hard drive] and have [ ide] [ dvd] drive and the hard drive was detected as third master and the dvd drive as primary [ slave] yet it says reboot and select proper boot devise i dont know the problem

I would go into the BIOS and change the "boot order" so that the hard disk is at the top of the list.

the hard drive is new and i want to install windows xp but i cant go past the booting stage
