cd drive not able to read it properly Closed

Hello,
Yesterday I had inserted cd in cd drive ,but still it was showing please insert cd in cd drive.....
What's this problem is .And how to find its solution.

Hi there,

It may be several reasons to get this message namely:

*the cd is empty,
*its damaged/corrupted/has scratches and cannot be read by the drive,
*Your lens need to be cleaned

To repair scratched/damaged cd you will get the instructions from link below of kioskea faq section:

To clean the lens you can use a cd/dvd lens cleaner and get it fixed. If no joy after having done these tricks then you will be required to change the ide 40 pin cable to 80 pin ide or even change the drive.
