replaced HD installed xp and wireless down!Closed

Question

Hello,

My hard drive crashed so i got a new one installed it and my uncle installed windows xp.......when i got home i tried connecting to the internet but can't........it's not reading that i have a wireless internet.......the wireless is not stored in the hard drive or is it?........someone please help!.........there is a main tower that the cable is hooked to an  the router is hooked up there and my dad's is working fine so i know it's not the internet!

Is there something i can do?

Hi there,

You have certainly missed something which does not ends by installing windows,you need to install the driver for the chipset,network,sound,modem and wireless if available for them to function correctly.Use driver cd or it can be downloaded if cd lost or damaged,please provide the model and series of the computer to give you correct download link.
