Hi there,
Yes you an make a downgrade of the system,you will have to disable sata/native mode in bios and check for drivers before proceeding on official Acer website:
https://www.acer.com/drivers/selection.html
The procedure will be the same as downgrading from vista to xp,thus you can follow the instructions fro kioskea Faq:
https://ccm.net/faq/2370-downgrade-from-windows-vista-to-xp-hdd-s-ata-not-recognized
