Hello,
I'm trying to run a PC Restore on my Dell Latitude D820 with XP Pro but ctrl+F11 during the splash screen (as Dell told me to do,) does nothing and it goes straight to the XP screen and loads Windows. I've tried hunting around Advanced Boot Options (F8) because I heard from there "Repair your PC" will get you there, but I get no option called that (or anything close, honestly.)

I've tried about everything I can think of and having restarted my computer 30-40 times trying different key commands during the dell splash screen, I cave and go to the forum for help. Any brilliant ideas for me?

Thanks!

Hi Jay11111,

Please check the below mentioned hyperlink and ensure you are following the correct steps:

PC Restore for Windows XP

Moreover, the "Recovery Partition" should be intact when attempting to restore your computer to factory settings.

Computer management / disk management shows a 55MB FAT partition with no volume number. Status shows "Healthy (EISA configuration)". It does not look big enough to be a recovery partition.
