Hello,
I bought a compaq cq 45-112au laptop recently. I tried to format the laptop after i found some viruses. Some time after the xp cd runs, I get a blue screen with the following error message and the installation stops.

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen restart your computer. If this error screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check yourhard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart your computer
Technical Information :
*** STOP : 0*0000007B (0*C0000034, 0*00000000, 0*00000000)"

This happened many times when i tried different cd's. Presently im using XP SP2. Can u please help me
Thanking you
Regards
