Hello,
actually i have a very strange question in my mind.
can anyone tell me whether a 20 pins psu would suite in a 24 pins motherboard?
i guess the answer is no but i have tried one yesterday and it works perfectly there is four pis which are not connected but the computer works perfectly..
so my question is that is there any risk with it that it fries my motherboard or the psu?

Been using 20 pin PSUs in 24 pin sockets for ages now on many builds never found one that spat its dummy because the extra pins were missing, does not make any difference I have noticed but I have not researched the issue other than it works fine.
Maybe I should LOL

OK I checked, the 4 extra pins are to run a PCI Express Video Card on modern motherboards, so if you have a built in video or a card with a 12 socket you do not need the extra 4 pins, no damage will be caused but obviouisly if you stick a PCI express in the mobo it won't work and BIOS won't even know it exists
