Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion dv6449us. The wireless adapter has recently decided it won't turn on in my house. When I plug an ethernet cord in it recognizes the network. I have tried updating it but it still doesn't work. Please help. I'm running Windows Vista.

it is possible that the wireless adapter is faulty, make sure you have tried everything else before you buy one. try uninstalling then re-install, disabling then re-enable.check the microsoft site for an update that might have caused the problem, check your updates and see if it ties in with when the problem started.
