Hello,

I have a Dell pc with Win XP. I tried starting the system last night and I got a blue screen detailing a memory error (I can't recall the details). The system was not responding so I restarted the pc.

The DELL boot screen appears with the options F2 and F12 options at the top corner, and the systems hangs. The keyboard does not work (none of the LEDs are on).

Kindly advise what I should do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Bobby.

Press F12 and run the Dell Diagnostic programs.

I cannot press F12 or F2 as the (usb connected) keyboard does not get initialized.

Then you need to get a PS/2 keyboard (if it fits). I know some Dells do not have a PS/2.

I have to check if my PC has PS/2 connectors. I don't think it does. If the latter is the case then any idea as to how to proceed ?
