Windows media player 12 will not play dvds,bu

Hello,my window media player 12 play cds,but will not play
dvds.When I insert a dvd a error message pops up saying..the media player can't play dvds video.You might need to adjust your window display settings and then try lowering your screen resolutions and color quality settings.
