Hello,
I formatted the HP Pavilion 6500 hard disk (C drive) and try to downgrade the Vista to XP, it seems not workable since some files can not be installed and the Windows XP did not install completed….Since I had not made any backup disk before, now, I want to burn a Vista recovery disk (Recovery Partition located at D drive), what can I do? Thanks !

I have heard that if you make active partition as D, and restart the pc, it will do the recovery. Once system is restored you can use HP Recovery Manager to Burn the recovery dvd/cd
