Sound driver

Hello,
after i formatted my compaq presario c700 laptop and tried installing sound driver i got the following msg

"driver installation failed : could not find the MEDIA DEVICE for this driver"

plz help

you do not have the correct driver for the sound device on your PC. I suggest you visit the HP web site and download a new driver.
