Hello,

My external hard drive is not being detected since it has been attacked by autorun.inf . Yesterday when I double clicked on that drive letter, it evoked the "select the program to open" . dialog box. At the very moment I understood that it has been attacked by autorun.inf virus. I right clicked on the drive and opened... could see the autorun.inf hidden file... and the system hung up immediately. I restarted the system and the second hard drive is not visible.

How can I make it visible? To do anything like virus scanning... or even to format... I should first make it visible. but HOW??? can anyone please answer?

Hello,

Seems to me that your computer is a worm.

Until your get your machine cleaned, please do not open any external drives.

You will need to download three tools:

Flash Detector:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/Flash_Disinfector.exe

McAfee:

http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/QQPass-RjumpStinger.zip

Symantec:

https://www.broadcom.com/support/security-center

Once the three on your desktop, run the three and reboot your computer.

See if that works for a medecine, if not please come back.

Good luck
