Fails to recognise modem after restoring pc

Hello,
any idea why after reloading or restoring a computer system it now "failsto recognize the modem? computer had a trojan now it won't go on line ( sad )
can someone help me by writng me instructions how to fix...Thanks in advance..I'm truly grateful...Sue

Hi there,

Re install the driver to fix it,use your driver cd or give model of system to give you a download link for driver.
