xp laptop wont read T-FLASH usb. 2gb microsd. Closed

Question

Hello,
I have recently encountered trouble with my windows 1998 laptop reading my usb.
It was a gift and I have never been on it before and would really appriciate any help.
My usb is a T_flash high speed USB micro sd adapter.
The micro sd card is 2 gb.
