? insufficient memory after norton installati

Hello,
Please help!!- got 2nd hand HP laptop and installed norton 360 for security- since then when switch on message reads " loading your personal settings" but thats as far as it goes- has the norton overloaded the memory?- (I'm not sure what its memory was before I installed it)- how can I get to the control panel to uninstall norton?

If you hit F8 repeatedly after seeing the Windows screen then you will boot into "Safe Mode" that should not include Norton. It this point you should have access to the Control Panel and should be able to delete Norton.

right click My Computer System Properties General tab should list your CPU and memory. Windows XP runs best with 512 MB - 256MB is OK but 128MB is too little.
