Beepind sound

Hello,
im just trying to upgrade my ram. i have an existing 512mb ram and now im trying to put a 1gb ram next to it but when i plug it into the socket and start up the computer all i get is a series of beep.
can anyone help me please?

ur M/B is not supporting both ram

1)put only on ram
2)put two 512 or two 1gb ram
