I'm facing the exact same problem!!! Then I downloaded an older version of the body shop, only the old version works but it has NOTHING except the basics so it's no fun!! if you get an answer please let me know!
you could actually make a vampire already on sims 2 double deluxe cause it has nightlife expansion pack with it
Getting a vampire is easy when you can access the cheat box. When you do hold down shift then click on a sim. Choose Spawn, you will get a new menu, look through that and you will find vampire, click on that and your sim will become a vampire. You can change them back the same way. Also Spawn is a lot of fun in the cheat mode. Choose Tombstone of L&D and you have a lot of options including one that makes your sim friendly with everyone there (helpful if you want to get romantic with another sim on the lot) .. Another good one in Spawn is after you get the first screen click "more" it will take you to another menu... choose Sim Moder.. with this you can bypass all the learning things your sim needs to do naturally, they will still learn more but this time it will help your sim get a much better job...
