Hi,
I was wondering if I can change my actual intel p d 930 to the newer intel core 2 duo e8400 lga 775 3ghz 6mb cache memory dual core processor without having to change my motherboard. I have read that they are duo support but just wanted to be sure of that?

Hey there,
You sure can as long as it supports duo processors and the socket is of the same type as your actual processor.
my cpu 2ghz can i use core 2 due motherbord?
unhackso is correct in his explanation the sockets are the same both 775 / socket t are just different names for the same socket type motherboard must support new 45 nm architecture so go to motherboard manufacture site
to be sure

Hello,

That is impossible. The sockets are different.

P-D 930 --> Socket T
Core2 Duo E8400 --> Socket 775
